Liked the place, had a very nice stay for a night. The location was amazing and stunning, within walking distance of a grade i listed obelisk. Moreover, it's adjacent to centre, the bar/bistro, and fountains abbey and grounds.

I was really disappointed with how cold and unwelcoming the staff were when we checked in. We arrived a bit early, but a simple Can I get you a drink while you wait? would have made such a difference.

The gardens
Room 77was small,dirty,tiny wardrobe,hardly any shower gell,masking tape around windows,paint flaking off,soap dispenser at head hight !only one bedside cabinet,whole hotel needs revamping,running out of space !!

I had a wonderful stay at the Ripon Inn, enjoying a large, lovely bathroom and a delicious breakfast with plenty of options. The garden terrace was perfect for relaxing after a good Sunday lunch. I'd recommend this hotel.

The restaurant has a menu that is limited, and subsequently poorly cooked. The average pub can offer better food. The whole hotel is old and in need of refurbishment. I was offered a small, very small double room and yet charge as though you have a fine room in a wonderful hotel.

Given the previous reviews it met the standards and more. The best description is the staff were excellent but not intrusive. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade which was very nice. We just found it friendly and relaxing and just what we wanted.

A Good Experience in Ripon
I chose the Ripon Inn specifically for its convenient location, and to my delight, I found that the hospitality exceeded my expectations. The highlight was the award-winning breakfast, which lived up to its reputation and set a perfect tone for my visit. The warm ambiance of the on-site bar made for a lovely spot to unwind after a day of exploration. it was a nice experience, and I can't wait to return.

Exterior could do with some tlc and some air fresheners in the corridoors. Otherwise the staff were friendly, the breakfast very nice and the bar food generally good. Very nice garden to relax in if the weather is nice. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely experience at the ripon inn. the staff were friendly and quick to address any issues we encountered, such as a malfunctioning radiator. our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a lovely view of the gardens.
Needs serious refurbishment; not worth the price 🛑.
